Shopify themes can read a collection's parent as "pim.parent"

If your theme shows a collection's parent or its children, both metafields now live in the pim namespace: a theme reads collection.metafields.pim.parent, with no app id in the path. They're now editable in Shopify, but the next push from the PIM restores its own tree. If your theme reads the old path, move it to the new one. The old values no longer update. The other metafields' descriptions stopped telling you to pick or type a value the next push would overwrite. Each now says what the value is.
